What are the dates of National Ijtema?

The National Ijtema will be held from October 10-12, 2025

What should Atfal bring to the Ijtema?

Jama'at ID Card
Prayer Cap and MAA Scarf
Toiletries (toothbrush, floss, deodorant, contact solution, soap, shampoo, etc.)
Clothing for 3-4 days
Flip flops/shower shoes
Fleece and rain jacket (for cold or rainy weather)
Athletic shoes
Sleepwear
Towel
Sleeping bag and sleeping mat (optional but helpful)
Pillow
Water bottle (with name labeled)
Medicines and prescriptions
Insect repellent
Extra socks

What items should Atfal NOT bring?

Handheld gaming devices
Valuables (jewelry, expensive electronics, etc.)

What are the airport and travel arangements?

Philadelphia International Airport (PHL) is the only airport with MKA-provided transport to and from the Ijtema site.
Arrival: Before Jumu‘ah on Friday, October 10
Departure: Return flights should be booked 4:00 PM EST or later on Sunday, October 12
Travel Accommodation Deadline: October 1, 2025

Where will Atfal sleep?

All Atfal will stay in a dedicated heated sleeping marquee, separate from Khuddam. The marquees will be padded to provide comfort and insulation from the ground.

Do Atfal need to bring bedding?

Yes, all Atfal should bring their own:

Sleeping bag
Sleeping mat (optional, for added comfort)
Pillow

If you are unable to bring these items due to travel constraints, a limited number of sleeping bags will be available for rent or purchase on-site.

Will my child be able to contact me?

Yes. Bagh-e-Ahmad has reliable cell connectivity, and Atfal are allowed to keep phones to stay in touch with their parents or guardians

Are there charging facilities?

Yes. Approximately 90 charging outlets will be available in the sleeping marquee. Please ensure your child brings their own charger and cable

What are the bathroom and shower arrangements?

Bagh-e-Ahmad will have industrial bathrooms and shower units specifically for Atfal. These facilities will be separate from Khuddam and regularly cleaned.
Each Atfal must bring:

Toiletries
Towel

How is security being managed?

Security is a top priority. The entire Ijtema site will be secured by:

Internal Atfal and Khuddam security teams
External professional security where needed

No unauthorized personnel will be allowed access to Atfal accommodations or activity areas.

What is the safegaurding plan?

Atfalul Ahmadiyya USA has a dedicated safeguarding team that oversees

Supervised accommodations
Activity oversight
Enforcing separation between Atfal and Khuddam in all facilities (bathrooms, showers, sleeping areas)

Only authorized staff and volunteers will be permitted in the Atfal areas.

What if there is a medical emergency?

There will be a licensed doctor on site throughout the Ijtema for any medical emergencies or needs

Who can I contact with urgent concerns?

A parent hotline number and emergency contact form will be provided via email a week before the Ijtema.
